I purchased this through Amazon and it was very effective in eliminating a chipmunk invasion. Lets face it. chipmunks are cute and nobody wants to kill them. However, they are also like rabbits and multiply. I had over 20 chipmunks living in walls, under flower gardens, tunneling under walkways, under the shed. we found them in the garage. I tried a "Have a heart" trap and it was a joke. I had no choice and the rat zapper eliminates the chipmunks quickly and as humanely as possible. No poison, no mice traps, no mess, and no injured creatures. The rat zapper works better than anything and I was able to kill get rid of 6 in 48 hours.

It works, period.
Used a regular trap, got nothing. Lost all the bait WITH the trap triggered. Put this to work... three mice in three days, very clean, no guts or blood, no poison (I have plenty of other animals aroud, so...), very efficient. If the temp goes down under 30 it gets a little slow, but that's the only problem I had. Next day, with warmer temps, another mouse. Well worth it.

I never so looked forward to having a mouse/rat problem until now! The Zapper is the best trapper out there and is fun to use. No more hassle of setting spring loaded traps just a Zap and its all over for the little rodents. I would highly recommend this because its the best and simple to operate!

I've been seeing rat droppings in some areas. I set glue traps, poison bait and snap traps. They caught nothing. Those bitches were just laughing at my efforts. In desperation I tried the more expensive RAT ZAPPER. The very first night I caught a rat.
I reset the trap the following evening. Same result next morning. This time it was a mouse. 2 kills in 2 nights. 100% effective. And it's clean. No blood or ripped out entrails. I highly recommend this RAT ZAPPER.
This is an update to my review. This trap is incredible!! In the course of 9 days The ZAPPER caught 5 rats and four mice. I haven't caught any the past 2 days because I suspect that the entire rat & mouse colony has been eradicated. During the 5th kill I had to clean the trap because the red and green light were flashing.(instructions for cleaning come in the box). Wear gloves.

It Works.
We just bought our first home and were surprised by finding we had mice running amuck in our attic. We could hear them scurry about at night and it would drive me insane. I tried various traps - clamp traps, spin traps, live catch traps, etc and while i caught a few most of the time i just provided free peanut butter for the mice; which im sure they were grateful for.

I was surprised at how confident the manual accompanying this thing was. "If it's a mouse it will be dead within a day". Yep, worked like a charm. No need to even see what's inside, a flashing red light means the critter is toast and you can just slide it out into the garbage. sweet.
Update: A couple months later and my zapper has killed 3 mice and I just electrocuted my first rat (which I caught in the garage--after having the neighbors complain of seeing it outside I decided to take some action before it found its way in). This thing is awesome. Highly highly recommended. As far as bait, I've been using dried nuts though the manual says dog food is the best.
